Press Release-April 2023

Over the past several days the Celina P.D. has been receiving reports of cars and garages being broken into and items stolen overnight. Investigation into the crimes quickly gave officers a primary suspect, Kyle Clifford (33) of Celina. Clifford has no permanent residence.

In the early morning hours Celina Police Department detectives and officers conducted surveillance on Clifford. Shortly after 1:00AM Clifford was observed on a bicycle pulling a small trailer in the north part of Celina. He parked his bicycle against a residence on Rosewood and burglarized a shed on Lilac St.

Officers arrested Clifford and took him to the Mercer Co. Jail. He was in possession of burglary tools. A follow-up investigation recovered stolen property including tools, antique coins and numerous other items. Possible stolen property from crimes outside Celina was also located and the Celina P.D. is following up with other involved agencies.

Kyle Clifford is being held in the Mercer County Adult Detention Facility pending a case review by the Mercer Co. Prosecutor Erin Minor.
