Press Release – May 1, 2024

The Mercer County Sheriff’s Office announced today that they will be participating in Light Ohio Blue. This is an annual week-long campaign in May that shows support to law enforcement personnel and honors law enforcement officers who have died in the line of duty. Our office is asking the community to join us and Light Ohio Blue from May 8- 18, 2024, in coordination with National Peace Officers Memorial Day on May 15, 2024.

Participation is as simple as replacing your standard light bulb with a blue light bulb on your exterior porch light; light up your entire home or business with blue flood lights; place blue ribbons on your mailbox; and/or wear blue on May 15^th.
