With a stellar record of achievement and a reputation for excellence, Chris Sommers brings nine years of coaching experience to the program. Throughout his illustrious career, Coach Sommers has amassed an impressive array of accolades, including six NWC Championships and being honored as the NWC Coach of the Year five times. His leadership has propelled his teams to the OHSAA playoffs seven times, showcasing his exceptional coaching prowess and dedication to excellence on the field.

Beyond his impressive track record, Coach Sommers embodies the core values of character and integrity that are fundamental to the W-G Football program. His commitment to instilling discipline, sportsmanship and teamwork aligns seamlessly with the values cherished by the Tigers' community.
