Several area wrestlers competed in Columbus at state competition over the weekend. In St Marys, Junior Tate Hisey won the Division II State Title in the 113 pound weight class with a victory over Indian Valley's Leroy Steagall on Sunday. Hisey is the first wrestler in St Marys history to win a state wrestling title. St Marys Junior Bo Hertenstein was the state runner up in the Division II 126 pound weight class. Wapakoneta Senior Jace Knous was the state runner up in Division II for the 215 pound weight class. Parkway Junior Landon Younker also went to state. Younker was defeated by Greyson Siders of Dalton in Division III. Coldwater Senior Austin Hamilton also competed at State in the 132 pound weight class.
