HOSPITAL CAPACITY

HOSPITAL CAPACITY

SOME HOSPITALS IN OHIO ARE REPORTING THAT INTENSIVE CARE UNITS ARE FILLING UP, SPREADING THIN RESOURCES FOR TREATMENT OF EMERGENCY ILLNESSES.
RIGHT NOW, THE OHIO HOSPITAL ASSOCIATION REPORTS THAT ONE IN FOUR PATIENTS IN THE INTENSIVE CARE UNIT ARE COVID 19 POSITIVE. THAT IS AN INCREASE FROM A WEEK AGO. FOR THAT REASON, HOSPITALS ARE AT CAPACITY AND CANNOT GUARANTEE A BED FOR PEOPLE WHO WAKE UP WITH CHEST PAINS, SUFFER A STROKE OR ARE INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT. THE OHIO HOSPITAL ASSOCIATION PUT OUT THIS ADD, ASKING PEOPLE TO TAKE ACTION AND GET THE VACCINE TO HELP WITH THE CRISIS. SINCE HOSPITALIZATIONS HAVE INCREASED 642 PERCENT IN THE LAST SIX WEEKS.AS INTENSIVE CARE UNITS ARE AGAIN FILLING WITH UNVACCINATED COVID-19 PATIENTS, DOCTORS ARE URGING EVERYONE TO GET THE SHOT AS SOON AS POSSIBLE TO HELP PREVENT A HEALTHCARE CRISIS.
