Mercer County Health District reports 11 more cases of COVID-19


Mercer County Health District COVID-19 Situation Update – July 24, 2020

 

CELINA- As of July 24, 2020, the Mercer County Health District (MCHD) reports 419 confirmed cases, 8 probable cases, 267 recovered cases, 135 pending cases, 1,849 negative cases, 4 hospitalizations, 10 deaths, and 1 probable death of COVID-19. Currently, there are 141 active cases of COVID-19 in Mercer County.

 

The MCHD reports the 409th confirmed case is a male in the age range of 20-30 years. The 410th confirmed case is a male in the age range of 30-40 years. The 411th confirmed case is a female in the age range of 60-70 years. The 412th confirmed case is a male in the age range of 60-70 years. The 413th confirmed case is a male in the age range of 20-30 years. The 414th confirmed case is a female in the age range of 20-30 years. The 415th confirmed case is a male in the age range of 60-70 years. The 416th confirmed case is a male in the age range of 20-30 years. The 417th confirmed case is a male in the age range of 50-60 years. The 418th confirmed case is a female in the age range of 30-40 years. The 419th confirmed case is a female in the age range of 40-50 years. All of these individuals are self-isolating at home.

 

Mercer County Outbreak Updates:

  • Cooper Farms' St. Henry Processing Plant: There are 76 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Mercer County who work at the plant. Of the 76 Mercer County confirmed cases, there are 6 active cases. There are 11 confirmed cases from surrounding counties. Of those 11 confirmed cases from surrounding counties, there are no active cases.

 

  • The Gardens of St. Henry: There are 31 confirmed cases of COVID-19. There are 14 confirmed staff members, 1 previous staff member, 15 residents, and 1 previous resident. There have been five deaths. There are no active cases.

 

  • The Gardens of Celina: There are 34 confirmed cases of COVID-19. There are 24 residents, 2 previous residents & 8 employees. There have been 2 deaths and 1 probable death. There are 6 active cases. 

 

  • Briarwood Village: There are 4 confirmed cases of COIVD-19. All 4 cases are employees. There are 2 active cases.

 

  • Basic Grain: There are 7 confirmed cases of COVID-19. All cases are active.

 

  • Viewing/Funeral/Benefit There are 41 confirmed cases of COVID-19. There are 27 individuals from Mercer County & 14 individuals from surrounding counties. All cases are active.

 

The MCHD pleads to the citizens of Mercer County to take the precautions to protect themselves and those around them from the spread of COVID-19. We need cooperation from the public to slow the spread of the virus in our community. The MCHD appreciates the patience from the community as our small staff handles a significant amount of work. We will continue to keep the public informed.
