By Kevin Sandler

27 year old AJ Piper of Celina has been sentenced to 180 days in jail and 3 years of community control sanctions on menacing by stalking and other charges related to an incident last year. Police arrested Piper last September after several incidents involving his ex-girlfriend. Piper allegedly used his vehicle to stop his former girlfriend in the area of Sugar and Blake Streets where he punched the door of her car before fleeing. Another incident saw Piper beat on the doors and windows of his ex-girlfriend's residence. A third incident that week saw Piper use his pick up truck to ram the rear of her car with their 1-year old child as a passenger in her vehicle. Piper pleaded guilty as part of an agreement with prosecutors.
