Trial Date set for Clay Junod

The man accused of robbing the Best Western Hotel in Celina in April faces nearly 40 years in prison when he goes on trial next month. Court records indicated 34 year old Clay Junod will go on trial July 11th in Mercer County Common Pleas Court. Junod faces charges that include aggravated robbery, felonious assault, kidnapping and abduction. Police say Junod went to the hotel on Sunday April 9th and threatened a cashier with a handgun before fleeing on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. Junod was captured in the Lima area the next day.
