Celina City Council Meeting for June 12th

At Monday Night's Meeting, the Celina City Council learned the city has been selected for federal funds to help pay for a future project on West Market Street. The Council also passed the first reading of an ordinance allowing citizens to drive Multi-Use-Vehicles on City Streets where the speed limit is 25 miles per hour or less. Celina Mayor Jeff Hazel explains.

In other business, the Celina City Council heard from Emily Hunter about Marsy's Law, an amendment on the November ballot. The law grants certain rights to crime victims. The Celina City Council also accepted a donation from the Celina VFW to sponsor 3 youth teams and to purchase 30 umpire shirts.
