HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES SECRETARY TOM PRICE JUST ANNOUNCED 485 MILLION DOLLARS IN GRANT MONEY TO GO TO STATES FIGHTING THE EPIDEMIC. OHIO.. WILL GET A LITTLE OVER 26 MILLION DOLLARS... THE THIRD MOST OUT OF THE 50 STATES. PENNSYLVANIA AND FLORIDA... WERE THE TOP 2. NORTHEAST OHIO CONGRESSMAN TIM RYAN REACTED TO THE GRANTS..BY ASKING FOR PRESIDENT TRUMP TO DECLARE THE EPIDEMIC A PUBLIC HEALTH EMREGENCY. HE SAID QUOTE " WE LOSE 144 PEOPLE EVERY DAY TO DRUG OVERDOSES IN THE UNITED STATES. DRUG OVERDOSE DEATHS ARE NOW THE NUMBER ONE CAUSE OF ACCIDENTAL DEATH IN OUR NATION. ... WE CAN NO LONGER TURN A BLIND EYE TO THE CATASTROPHIC NATURE OF THIS ONGOING CRISIS. "
